Intermediate MEP Quantity Surveyor.

We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead and manage full Electrical Design on projects of all sizes while demonstrating client care at all times.

The Role...

For this role, we are looking for a hands-on and focused MEP Quantity Surveyor who can uphold EDC’s approach to quality-driven success. Ideally, you will have previous MEP Quantity Surveyor Experience with an MEP Cost Consultant or MEP Contractor.
Salary: €40 – €50,000 per year depending on experience.
Your role will involve managing a broad range of project responsibilities including project cost management, takeoff’s, budgets, cost control, client liaison and reporting. Sourcing and managing new clients, work and projects will also form part of your role. EDC has a varied range of projects and project experience as a strong leader in the MEP Consultancy Market here in Ireland and the UK.

We need you to have...

Third Level qualification in Quantity Surveying or relevant Engineering.
RCIS Membership (Not essential but advantageous).
Competent user of the following:
    • Microsoft Office for preparation of analysis reports (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Match Excel functions and conditional formatting)
    • Autodesk Applications (Design Review etc.)
MEP Quantity Surveyor experience throughout a project lifecycle.
Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
Proven experience of delivering detailed designs through the full design cycle.
Industry knowledge, excellent organizational skills with an ability to produce accurate work to project deadlines.
Proactive and competent in delivering across a variety of industry and project types, sizes, and complexity.
MEP Quantity Surveyor experience on large scale mechanical & electrical commercial & industrial projects.
Ability to make prompt, disciplined project decisions.
Commercial Awareness.

Your Responsibilities Will Be...

Your responsibilities will include:
  • pre-contract cost estimates and contract packages.
  • tendering phase advice.
  • handling of client queries commercial evaluation of tenders. 
Travel to client and project locations as required to represent EDC for meetings etc.
Liaise and collaborate with other EDC offices for all matters as appropriate.
Post contract responsibilities will include:
  • valuing of site progress for certifications.
  • responding to contactor’s queries
  • ensuring expedited valuing of final accounts and insurances.
Lead change in new systems and technologies.
Ensure that the good name and reputation of EDC is maintained and promoted within the industry.
Seek out new project opportunities for the company.
