INTRODUCTION:
Highfield House Student Accommodation is a strategic housing development of purpose built student accommodation.
This development comprises of 2 blocks ranging in height from 3-storeys to 7-storeys and comprises of 47 clusters of 4, 6, 7 & 8-bedroom units. The total gross floor area equates to 8,595.6sqm.
The development also includes various community spaces including a gym, café, study rooms and entertainment areas.
EDC were appointed as lead MEP designers for Highfield house providing all mechanical, electrical and energy design services.
The development was designed with sustainability at the forefront of each design decision. A district heating system serving both blocks that utilises a high-efficiency air source heat pump as the primary heat generating source ensures the development achieves an A3 Building Energy Rating.
