At EDC, we’re committed to creating an environment where our people can grow, develop, and progress in their careers. That commitment is only meaningful when it’s reflected in real career journeys across the business.
Today, we’re delighted to announce the promotion of Michelle Kelly to Associate Director in our Dublin office.
Since joining EDC, Michelle has played a central role in the growth and development of the Dublin office. She has led the MEP and Sustainability function with a strong people-first approach, while building lasting client relationships and driving high standards of delivery across multidisciplinary teams. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping a collaborative, delivery-focused culture within the office.
In her new role as Associate Director, Michelle will continue to support the strategic development of EDC’s Dublin operations, contributing to the company’s wider ambitions across Ireland and the UK.
Speaking on her appointment, Michelle Kelly said:
“I’m incredibly grateful to step into the role of Associate Director at EDC. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside a supportive and talented team, and I truly appreciate the trust that’s been placed in me.
What I have experienced here is a company that means what it says about developing its people. This promotion is the most direct evidence of that I could have asked for. I am looking forward to taking on more responsibility, supporting the team around me, and playing my part in what EDC is building.”
Gareth Murphy, Executive Director in Dublin, highlighted Michelle’s impact on the business:
“Michelle has played a key role in the progression of our Dublin office since joining. Her ability to bring teams together across disciplines, combined with her technical strength and focus on delivery, has had a clear impact on how we operate. This appointment is a natural next step and very well deserved.”
Richard O’Farrell, Managing Director of EDC, added:
“Michelle is exactly the kind of leader EDC needs as we grow. She leads with integrity, brings people with her, and holds the standard. As we scale across Ireland and the UK, having leaders of this calibre in our Dublin office is exactly what this next phase requires. Congratulations Michelle.”
As we continue to strengthen our leadership team, this forms a key part of our long-term strategy to deliver high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions across the built environment. With offices in Ireland, the UK, and Turkey, we are recognised for our integrated approach to MEP design, energy & sustainability engineering, and digital delivery through BIM.
Michelle’s promotion reinforces our commitment to developing our people and supporting career progression from within, while ensuring our clients benefit from experienced leadership at every stage of project delivery.
