Bernie Burchill

Bernie Burchill is a seasoned Human Resources Leader with over two decades of experience across a diverse range of sectors. She joined EDC in 2017 as the People and Organisational Development Manager, having previously held significant roles at multinational corporations including BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. and MSD.

Bernie’s appointment as EDC’s first non-engineering (Technical) Associate Director highlights the organisation’s commitment to diversity within its leadership team and its dedication to fostering career progression across all business areas.

As the leader of EDC’s People function, Bernie has overseen the doubling of the workforce over the past five years. She is an ambitious advocate for transformative change and is instrumental in developing and implementing EDC’s People and Culture strategies.
