Project Overview:
Equinix LD2 was the third Equinix data centre to open on Buckingham Avenue on the Slough Trading Estate, adding a further 80,000 sq ft – or around 3,000 cabinet equivalents – to that already in LD4 (on the opposite side of Buckingham Avenue) and LD5 a few hundred metres away. LD2 is a purpose-built data centre building, delivered across two floors each as a distinct phase of around 1,400 cabinet equivalents each. Use of adiabatic cooling is aimed at keeping the facility power efficiency at the best operational levels.
This project is part of the company's £295m investment into the UK infrastructure throughout 2018/19. For Equinix LD6, 2 levels had Servers approx. 1450 per Level (Total 2900) with 2 Project Phases, we worked on Phase 2, Phase 1 would have had the same quantity (2900) Data Hall Space 7500m2.
