Project Overview:
The Pepsico BCP Emulsion project was a beverage production process building where EDC working in conjunction with the Project Manager, Architect, Structural Engineer and Process Engineer to design and coordinate a full tender and construction package, and provision of construction supervision services.
The project involved a new production facility where orange juice ingredients were produced for distribution to pepsico facilities throughout the globe for development to the final product for consumption.
Works included three cleanroom production areas, each eleven metres high, containing medium blend, large emulsion, and powder rooms with the associated platforms, process pipework and control equipment separated by a central service corridor, and three levels of MCC rooms. The roof accommodates the air handling units and dust collectors, which service the cleanrooms below.
EDC Scope of Works:
EDC provided the Mechanical and electrical design while working in conjunction with the process engineer. Mechanically EDC design the ventilation and air conditioning, heating system, steam and condensate, water services and above ground drainage systems, electrical EDC design the Internal and external lighting, general power services, fire alarm, CCTV system, Security systems and access control to the building.
