EDC Fast Facts 1: Exhaust Air Heat Pump (EAHP) System

An Exhaust Air Heat Pump provides ventilation as well as space and water heating as an all in one energy-efficient solution.

Exhaust air heat pump systems extract warm air within a building via the ventilation system and then reuses the heat from the air to heat the building or its hot water.

There are many benefits to using an EAHP system, most notably, the reduction in the environmental impact of buildings through reduced CO2 emissions.

They are compliant with building regulation requirements, and importantly, they assist in the continuous ventilation of building which can help improve indoor air quality.
