Project Overview:

The project at Carrigtwohill PCC comprises of alterations to an existing building where it is intended to fit out the second floor of the building with a Primary Care Centre to service the residents of the surrounding areas of Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. This development contains multiple rooms with various functions to support a community healthcare facility such as a PCC. These areas include office space, consultation rooms, therapy rooms, bookable clinics, waiting areas, treatment rooms and ancillary function rooms.

This PCC not only accommodates local GPs & the HSE Staff working together, it also caters for extensive Healthcare research projects. This new unit provides high specification space for Speech & Language Therapists, Public Health Nurses, Social workers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Home care Support workers, Dentists, Podiatry clinic, ophthalmic & Audiology services, Mental health & Psychology services.

Extensive care & attention was required during the fit-out to ensure Air Conditioning performance met the specified design criteria, thus beside providing acceptable indoor climate for patients & Staff, the Air Conditioning system was installed to reduce the risk of infection by controlling microorganisms in each of the treatment & sluice rooms.
