Project Overview:
EDC was appointed by Chemco as third-party peer reviewer for multiple temperature-controlled warehousing units at their Irish facility, including Block G. These facilities are designed for the storage of chemicals used in the semiconductor industry and required robust environmental control and high system resilience.
Our scope included independent design reviews, quality assurance, and the production of formal peer review reports. EDC supported Chemco in evaluating and approving design changes, identifying value engineering opportunities, and ensuring the overall efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of the design.
Each unit featured precise temperature control, with several incorporating refrigeration and ATEX-rated zones. To maintain critical environmental conditions, all primary energy systems were designed to N+1 redundancy, ensuring continuity of operation in the event of component failure.
