EDC appointed to deliver the MEP Design on the £62M Plaistow Hub Regeneration Project by Vistry Partnerships.

A 182 home residential-led mixed-use development in Plaistow, East London.

EDC has been appointed by Vistry Partnerships to complete MEP Design for the new Plaistow Hub Regeneration Project by Populo Living
Populo Living is Newham Council’s wholly owned housing company and revenue generated from the project is being used to deliver 112 London Affordable Rent homes in the local area.

“The scheme will provide high quality private rental accommodation that will be owned and managed by Populo Living. With over 2,000 m2 of commercial and retail space included, the project will be a huge boost to the local area.”

Stephen Teagle, Chief Executive of Vistry Partnerships

Plaistow Hub will create a new local centre by Plaistow Underground Station. Alongside two separate residential buildings the project includes a new library, neighbourhood centre, supermarket, gym and café. The project will also create a new piazza and improve the streetscape by linking the locally listed Plaistow Underground Station to the new development and surrounding area.

Plaistow Hub will be constructed across two separate sites: London Road and Valetta Grove. The London Road site is located next to the Underground station and consists of a 23-storey building containing 100 new homes for private rent and a three storey commercial building.

Valetta Grove situated off Plaistow Road and opposite the Plaistow Station, will be redeveloped to provide 82 new private rental homes over 15 floors.

EDC will be providing the Engineering and Design Drawings to Construction Stage.
