EDC has been appointed by new client Henley Construct who are part of the Henley Homes Group to complete MEP Design for the new Cherry Orchard and Solomon’s Passage Developments.

Cherry Orchard
Henley Construct, the construction arm of the Henley Homes Group is delivering these 116 affordable homes in Croydon in association with Optivo Housing Group.
This nine-storey development in Cherry Orchard Road will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes, and includes optimal construction design by reducing the overall number of units to improve daylight levels, overall building functionality, access and maintenance.
EDC will be providing the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Design Drawings to Construction Stage.
Work is due to begin in April 2021, with estimated completion set for April 2023.
Solomon's Passage
This development will deliver c. 92 homes and target a policy compliant scheme in the provision of affordable housing, with the aim to provide improvements to the current street and townscape; optimise communal spaces with a focus particularly on young children’s play area; and provide green roofs that will enhance the overall biodiversity and ecology.
A fabric first approach has been taken for this development to improve energy efficiency along with solar shading and a sedum roof.
EDC will be providing the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Design Drawings to Construction Stage.
Work is due to begin in Spring 2021.
