With a busy start to 2018 we have recently been appointed to several new projects in the UK and Ireland, these include large residential developments in the UK as well as Student Accommodation, Commercial and Residential developments in Ireland.
As EDC continues to grow its portfolio in a range of construction sectors we look forward to delivering innovative and sustainable engineering projects in 2018. We have seen a surge in project wins due to our BIM experience and expertise.
Below we have picked 3 of our upcoming projects to highlight for the coming year.
The project consists of an upgrade of the current admin block which currently consists of an open plan office within an existing previously renovated stone building.
The works consist of an upgrade to the open plan office area and inclusion of new pods to provide cellular offices, meeting rooms, and ancillary storage and printing rooms etc.
The M&E upgrade includes a new AHU to replace the existing unit and an improved displacement ventilation system with individual climate control in each space.
All electrical services are being upgraded including a complete replacement of light fittings for LED fittings, and a new raised floor busbar power distribution system.
Works are due to begin on site in April 2018.
The development which will consist of 188 hotel bedrooms, a bar/restaurant with commercial kitchen and a retail/food court area consists of 2 listed buildings to be redeveloped.
Conservation is an important aspect of the proposal to maintain the old facades and feel for the buildings, along with a new contemporary block to be built at the back of the existing buildings.
