Project Overview:
This project is the redevelopment of 2 Moorfield Road. Moorfield is a new and exciting residential development comprising of 101 new homes with associated communal residents facilities, a community space, surrounding public realm, roof terrace and private amenity space. The scheme consists of a 7 storey building with a small 2 storey central setback at the upper floor, facing onto Hertford Road.
The scheme is set centrally within the site to retain the large trees along Hertford Road, however, the ground floor marks the entrances to the residential and community space creating vibrant active frontage which is pedestrian friendly and offers high quality, much improved public realm.
50% of the homes will be for long-term affordable rent, bringing local homes for local residents.
EDC Scope of Works:
EDC is collaborating with Keady Construction on the design and delivery of RIBA Stages 3 & 4 services for a significant residential development in Enfield. The project consists of 100 units across 11 floors in two blocks and is currently under BSR submission for approval. EDC is responsible for the full mechanical and electrical design, ensuring the development meets the highest standards of functionality and sustainability.
We have worked closely with Architect Darling Associates and Structural Engineer Manhire Associates to create an efficient design, incorporating an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) system and Photovoltaic (PV) panels on the roof to optimise energy efficiency.
The project is set to commence in 2025, immediately after BSR approval. This development is a prime example of EDC’s commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions and highlights our ability to collaborate across disciplines for successful project execution.
