We’re pleased to be continuing our involvement in the development of Redforge Road in Blackpool, Cork, a significant residential project transforming an under-utilised brownfield site close to Cork city centre.
The development comprises 114 apartments across two residential blocks, ranging from four to nine storeys, alongside three commercial units. The scheme includes a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, with a strong focus on quality, daylight, ventilation and creating a well-connected urban environment.
As M&E Design Consultants, EDC is supporting the project through the construction stage, providing:

▪️ Building energy performance services
▪️ Coordination with the wider design and construction team to support efficient, high-quality delivery
The project is a great example of how the redevelopment of brownfield sites can contribute to Cork’s growing housing needs while creating a more sustainable and vibrant urban environment.
