This building development comprises 67 apartments, a youth centre, community and conference facility, a sports hall, gymnasium and office space. 65% of the new apartments will be affordable housing available to households on a range of incomes. The development will include private balconies to most apartments, communal roof terraces and significant improvements to the public realm in and around Lanark Road.
EDC provided the full design of MEP systems, Fire Engineering services, SAP calculations and BREEAM to achieve the minimum Part L & CO2 requirements. Our experience of working on similar complex projects meant that we could quickly identify areas of cost savings that didn’t impact the appearance and quality of the building.
